I am Really Into sprinkles.
My daughter is Really Into My Little Pony: Equestria Girls.
So when I saw this Delish video on Facebook the other day, I knew we had to get this recipe going.
It’s easy enough & actually a damn good no bake cheesecake recipe. We opted to not use the yellow food coloring because we felt it fit more into the Equestria Girls color scheme to use white, pink, purple & blue. The cake was pretty creamy & surprisingly not too sugary & my daughter loved it. She’s Not Really Into sweets, so that’s a win in my book. I also opted to use a shortbread crust & it was super tasty. Rarity & Flash seemed to like the look of it.
I figured why we were on a sprinkle kick, let’s just go all out & make this Unicorn Hot Chocolate from Delish.
We opted to just use pink & blue food coloring in the milk because we were fresh out of pink & blue sprinkles. Then we whisked in some Nestle white chocolate chips while my son was sorting the Lucky Charms marshmallows. No way were we using the actual cereal pieces in our hot chocolate, so much better with just sugar. We decided to not make the whip cream from scratch because we are lazy like that. We didn’t add food coloring either because my daughter felt the whip cream remaining white would highlight the marshmallows. I swear I’m raising a stylist. Seems like the pony version of Rarity is Really Into this drink.
After our sugar coma, we took a long nap & played Equestria girls & sang along to Rainbow Rocks. My kids are Really Into this movie right now & it’s on a constant Netflix loop in our house. This was my first Delish recipe & I will definitely be trying more. The cocoa and the cake were delicious & would be great for a party, a sleepover, a tea party or in place of a birthday cake.
Have you tried any Delish recipes or are you Really Into the unicorn craze? I really want to find a unicorn cafe. How fun would that be?
